ISHMAEL PRECEEDES ISAAC

“Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.” (Habakkuk 2:3 GNT)

Devil is a master counterfeiter. He has multiple counterfeits of every blessing prepared for us by heaven. These counterfeits looks almost like the original, and the sole purpose is to deny us the blessing. The size of our Ishmael gives us a clue of the size of our Isaac. Ishmael is everything opposite of Isaac, which means, what we suffer with Ishmael is the direct opposite of what we will enjoy with our Isaac. Unfortunately, many are stuck or had been destroyed by their Ishmael husband, wife, money, friend, opportunities etc kissing their Isaac goodbye. The reason for divorces in the church is that we end up with Ismael as a spouse. Having the understanding that Ishmael often preceedes Isaac should put us on guard. Ishmael supposed to be a one time experience that shouldn’t get to the level of denying us Isaac, but most of us may suffer it many times and allow it deny them Isaac because of impatient and lack of knowledge (Ps. 27:14). May we never get stuck with Ishmael and lose our Isaac in Jesus name!
