A heart without knees

I have observed in the church today that most people kneel before God to worship or pray only when they saw their Pastor or leader kneeling down. This is a form of lips service, the Pastor may have knelt down to worship as a result of an encounter he just received, therefor I ask, what is your own reason for kneeling? Personally, I don’t kneel to pray or worship because my Pastor is kneeling, I kneel only when I am moved in my spirit to kneel. When we do things without the prompting of the Holy Spirit, our heart might not be there.
For the fact that a man is physically kneeling down doesn’t mean his heart is also kneeling down. People may see us kneeling down, but before God we are actually sitting down. A heart without knees is a heart that sits down while the man is physically kneeling down. God want to see us kneel before Him in worship both physically and spiritually, in fact, it’s more important to kneel spiritually than physically because the God we serve is Spirit. We may be kneeling down and judging someone that is sitting down without knowing that he is the one that is actually kneeling before the Lord and we are sitting. When we come to God’s presence, we must concentrate on ourselves to make sure we are connected in the spiritual realm as we worship, and leave others alone. The physical posture doesn’t matter to God at all; what matters to Him most is our spiritual posture whenever we come to His presence.
It is not spiritually proper to compel people to kneel down or stand up in honor of the Lord at any point in time in the service. We may end up having people that are physically kneeling or standing, but spiritually speaking, they are sitting down with their legs crossed and the purpose is defeated. I have watched people in services crumbly stood up or knelt down all because they were forced to do so. Why don’t we go ahead with whatever it is that God laid in our hearts to do and allow people take any posture the Holy Spirit prompted them to take? We will be amazed to see how many people that will be standing or flat on the floor at the end of the day just because we allowed the Holy Spirit have His way.
Our hearts must first kneel, stand, or lie down in worship of our God before our physical body will be compelled to do the same, not the other way round, because through worship starts from within us, not without. What God wants to see first is a bowing heart or a kneeling heart. In prayer of Manasseh 11 he
prayed, “And now I bend the knee of my heart, begging for Your clemency.” http://www.bombaxo.com/blog/and-now-i-bend-the-knee-of-my-heart/
