THE REVELATION OF “SEVEN TIMES”

THE REVELATION OF “SEVEN TIMES”

Beyond the great faith from the great faith Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego exhibited, I personally believe by revelation that another factor that attracted the presence of God the Son into the furnace was the fact that the king increased it seven times.
What is about the number seven? Seven is a number of perfection, no one under the heaven is perfect, only God is, therefore when the fire was increased to number seven it left the realm of man and entered God’s realm. Unknown to king Nebuchadnezzar, he invited God into the fire himself by increasing it seven times into God’s territory, and there is no way God wouldn’t have appeared.
This goes to show us that if a situation is still within what we can understand, or handle; if it’s within our capacity, then it is still within our territory, yet to enter God’s territory and attract His attention. We often wonder why God’s children usually go through very difficult times and it seems there is no end to it, we can now see the answer; it is because God wants to glorify Himself in our lives, and before that can happen, the situation has to be so severe and far beyond our ability and territory to be able to penetrate God’s territory and get His attention.
Right from stage one of our affliction to stage six as the enemy increases our pain, we starts calling on God to save us, but it it usually appears heaven is closed and God is not hearing us. He is only waiting for the enemy to make that one mistake and get it to the “seventh time” for our deliverance and for his glory. The enemy thinks making our situation worse makes it more difficult for us, but the truth is that he is bringing us closer to our deliverance.
Sometimes God sits back and allow our situation gets so bad before He can come down to deliver us, all because He wants to take the glory. He doesn’t want a situation where He will begin to drag His glory with man, or leave any slightest doubt in the heart of man as to who actually made it to happen. When God does His thing, He wants everyone to see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this. This is why He makes the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry
land springs of water, and plant ceder in the wilderness after the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, (Isa. 41:17 -20).
The situation of the needy and poor here is a “seven times” situation, it got so bad that it can only take God to help them out of it. In trying to deliver them from this helpless situation, God provided the solution in such away it is far beyond man’s widest imagination, so that no one can have any doubt in his mind as to who did it and should get all the glory.
This is what God did in the case of Job too. He brought Satan’s attention to Job and allowed him to afflict him freely in an unspeakable way all because he wants to glorify Himself. Touching the life of Job after he had destroyed everything he own was a kind of increasing Job’s affliction seven times by the enemy. You can take anything from a man, but don’t take his health and devil understands that. By doing what he thought will worsen Job’s case, the enemy ended up attracting God’s presence to Job. However, think of what Job suffered before it got to that stage.
